LOWER TRESTLES, California/USA (Monday, September 13, 2010) – The Hurley Pro at Trestles, Event No. 6 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour, has been called off for the day with event organizers opting to wait for a good swell projected for later in the week. ”We still have some pretty fun waves this morning but it’s a bit inconsistent so we’ve called competition off for the day,” Richie Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. ”We monitoring a good looking swell that’s projected to hit later in the week, but we’ll be back tomorrow morning to assess conditions.”

Surfline, official forecasters for the Hurley Pro Trestles, are calling for the swell to dip over the next couple of days before a stronger swell system moves in on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Event organizers will reconvene at 7am to assess conditions for a possible 8am start.

When competition resumes, up first will be Owen Wright (AUS), 20, up against Luke Munro (AUS), 27, in Heat 6 of Round 2.
