Finale dag GKA Gran Canaria

Gisteren, op zondag, het is tijd voor de finale ronde van de dames competitie. Mikali Sol versloeg mede Braziliaanse Bruna Kajiya en won daarmee haar eerste event van het 2019 GKA Kite Wereld Tour seizoen.

Er is ook en poging gedaan om de laatste drie heats van de mannen af te maken, helaas was de wind simpelweg niet krachtig genoeg. ook omdat, de mannen competitie haar laatste acht riders al had (zij zouden alleen maar een gezamenlijke eerste plaats krijgen zelfs wanneer er verder geen heats meer zijn) de focus is dus gaan liggen op het voltooien van de dames competitie. Today though, on the final day of the event window, it all came down a last ditch effort to reach the men’s final. With clear skies and none of the clouds that had been suppressing the wind this week, things were looking positive.

Unfortunately though, at 19:00 after a long day of waiting, it was clear the wind just was not going to reach the required strength for the men to hit the water.
The riders would not be able to compete to see who would become the first ever male champion of the GKA Freestyle World Cup Gran Canaria.
However, there is still an official result from the men’s division and the below eight riders will all share first place rankings (and an equal share of the prize money) from this event.
