Ever since his unexpected victory at Red Bull Joyride in 2012, Thomas Genon is an inseparable part of the FMB World Tour. However, winning the biggest contest of the year has its consequences – all eyes and expectations were focused on him for 2013. With a cool head on his shoulders and not perturbed by the pressure, Thomas had a successful season demonstrating consistency and progression. In 2013, he stood on the podium four times at various FMB World Tour events, and came within a whisker of another four podium results. Thomas took gold at King of Dirt (ITA), silver at Vienna Air King (AUT) and Scott on Air @ Bikes and Beats Festival (AUT) and bronze at FISE Slopestyle (FRA). Then, at Red Bull Rampage in October he proved that he also feels confident on his big CANYON Torque DHX and placed 10th. Overall, Thomas once again raised the bar and finished 4th in the FMB World Tour overall ranking.

Anton Thelander: where to start? In 2012 young Anton broke through and in 2013 he showed exactly why he is currently one of the hottest riders on the scene. His famous clean style of riding earned him the nickname “Cleanlander”, but also caught the eye of fans, sponsors as well as fellow athletes. Camouflaged as a rookie athlete, and equipped with his CANYON Stitched bike, Anton flowed from jump to jump, firing trick after trick, and consequently landed on podium after podium. The Swede won a total of six medals! For Anton and his fans, the greatest achievement came in May when he took third place at the FMB World Tour gold event, Red Bull Berg Line. This achievement paved the way for his incredible season. He later went on to take silver at the SlopeFest in Sweden. Then he spun his way to victory at Red Bull Phenom during X Games Munich with a breathtaking 360 from the nearly 10 meter final drop. Across the pond, in Northern America it was no different: a solid 3rd place at the slopestyle contest, Colorado Freeride Festival (USA), gave a clear signal that he was on a roll. At Red Bull Joyride during Crankworx Whistler (CAN), he just missed the podium, but took home the ‘Young Gun Award’ for his outstanding performance. Outside of the FMB World Tour, Anton also took victories at the freestyle.ch in Zurich (SUI) and at the debut of the Martin Söderström Invitational (SWE). Improving his overall ranking by 20 places – ‘Cleanlander’ finished 6th in the FMB World Tour overall ranking. A success that should be still exceeded in 2014: “I’m happy with my season, but there is always room for improvement. I’m looking forward to the next season and hopefully even better results,” said the 19-year-old from Uppsala.
