Live frame-building bij The Cycle Show
Voor het eerst laat The Cycle Show live frame-building zien medemogelijk gemaakt door Prestige Cycles en The Bicycle Academy.
Bezoekers van de show kunnen de kunst omtrent custom bikes van dichterbij meemaken dan ooit. Van de eerste aanmeeting en het passen tot aan het demonstreren van de lastechnieken en het gebruik van buizen binnen het bouwproces.
Prestige Cycles en The Bicycle Academy gaan frames bouwen gedurende de hele show. Een proces dat normaliter zes tot twaalf weken duurt.
Andrew Denham, leraar aan The Bicycle Acadamy vertelt: “Frame building is an art, and has seen quite a resurgence in recent years, with many of the best bike builders in the world coming from the UK.”

Oud studenten en huidige leraren van The Bicycle Acadamy zijn aanwezig op The Cycle Show om bezoekers te spreken en deel te nemen aan de frame-building Q&A sessions.
Stephen Roche, oprichter van Prestige Cycles, zegt: “Cyclists often dream of owning their own custom-build bike, but they don’t know where to start. We’ll explain to visitors each stage of the bike building process and offer advice on what might best suit their needs.”
