Stubai Premiere 2018

Plezier, goede vibes en niets anders dan zonneschijn – zo kan de 10e verjaardag van de Stubai-première op de Stubaier-gletsjer worden beschreven. Met fantastisch weer en milde temperaturen kon de opening van de DC Stubai Zoo gevierd worden met een uitgebreid programma. Hoewel de sneeuwcondities niet goed genoeg waren voor het reguliere snowpark-event in de Gaisskarferner, was Schneestern in staat om een alternatieve opstelling te creëren die veel lokale en internationale VIP’s uit de Freeski- en Snowboardwereld aantrok. Totaal nieuwe obstakels zoals het 20-delige waterval obstakel waren speciale hoogtepunten en zorgden voor een lekkere sfeer.

Directly at the Eisgrat, where the Brandsaloon Plaza was, the brandnew stuff of over 40 brands of the wintersports business could be put through its paces, while there were many precious prices by the partners to win at the numerous side events:

The Moreboards Oktoberfest cared for a humerous atmosphere with a chill-out area and traditional live music. while the Moreboards teamriders provided the visitors with food and drinks. Varied beer games and the Beer-for-Tricks Session brought the mood to a climax.

The GoPro Video Competition which lasted two days was a special visitor attraction with a brandnew GoPro Hero 7 as main price. At Quiksilvers and Roxys Hang and Ride the lucky winners could enjoy a day on the slopes together with Travis Rice and other snowboard- and freeski-pros.

The Quiksilver und Roxy team was also at the Moreboards After Shred Hangout down in Neustift for interviews and selfies. Together with free beer, sound and BBQ the visitors could watch the pros painting an oil painting, which will be auctioned and the proceeds will be donated to the „Stiftung Kinderträume“.

Salomon Snowboards gave you photographer and filmer talents the opportunity to shoot with the pro team and get a coaching by filmer Marco Morandi. Subsequently the new snowboardmovie „Focus“ by Salomon Snowboards celebrated its premiere together with lots of goodies for the crowd and afterparties until dawn.

With Lib Techs „Jib the Lip“ Session the Stubai Premiere 2018 came to a perfect ending full of rail action. Moderator Henry Jackson, pro rider Yuka Fujimori, Mans Hedberg and many local rippers finished the season opening perfectly with the goodies-for-tricks session.

After the Stubai Premiere a fantastic start into the DC Stubai Zoo season is made. From 5th of November until 6th of December the best riders of this planet will meet at the Prime Park Sessions to practice together. Then, on 22nd to 24th of November, they can show what they’ve learned at the FIS Freeski World Cup Stubai, where they are able to qualify for the world championship 2019 in Park City, Utah.

Also the date for the Stubai Premier 2019 is already safe, which should be saved by every Jibber and Shredder: October the 18th to 20th.
